CAMPUS OVERVIEW

For the comfort and convenience of students and faculty, the school is located at St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. The campus has easy and convenient access to I-285 and GA 400 Highway. There is also ample covered parking. This is a state of the art facility containing four spacious class rooms for didactic instruction. A state of the art ultrasound laboratory is available for ultrasound training and extra help as well as an x-ray laboratory. Standard equipment includes a library of case studies, reference books and audio-visual aids, which complement curriculum objectives.

Campus Programs

School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
The Institute of Allied Medical Professions’ School of Diagnostic medical Sonography provides students a high quality education in both the classroom setting and hands on experience in our labs. You will be taught by well trained, nationally registered instructors. Our students also go through clinical training at various health care facilities, medical centers and hospitals in the region. All campuses are with an excellent ultrasound laboratory to facilitate hands on experience.

School of Radiography
In this two-year certificate program, students receive highly diversified instruction in radiation physics, radiation biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology and radiographic procedures through a hybrid offering of on campus and online courses. Clinical course work includes assignments in general diagnostic procedures, computerized tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and other specialized imaging fields. Academic studies directly relate to the field of radiography.

School of Radiation Therapy
The Institute of Allied Medical Professions Radiation Therapy Program prepares students for the clinical, theoretical, technical and psychological aspects of a career in Radiation Therapy. Delray campus offers this as a 24 month Associate Degree program open to students with no prior medical experience. The Atlanta campus offers this program as a 20 month certificate program or as a 16 month certificate program for students currently ARRT certified in Radiography. The curriculum includes classroom instruction and clinical internship in a variety of Radiation Therapy procedures and equipment operation.

School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
This program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for positions in Radiology/Imaging Departments and related businesses and industries. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement placement. The program emphasizes a combination of didactic and clinical instruction necessary for successful employment as an MRI technologist.
