CAMPUS OVERVIEW

Located in a class A building on the campus of Delray Medical Center, this facility consists of four (4) large classrooms, an x-ray laboratory for positioning, an ultrasound laboratory for training and extra help, a fully equipped medical assisting laboratory for medical assisting hands-on training, a library of case studies, reference books and audio-visual aids, which complement curriculum objectives, a break room, a reception area and ten (10) offices.

School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography This two-year CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program provides students a high quality education in both the classroom setting and hands on experience in our labs. You will be taught by well trained, nationally registered instructors. Our students also go through clinical training at various health care facilities, medical centers and hospitals in the region. All campuses are with an excellent ultrasound laboratory to facilitate hands on experience. |
School of Radiography
In this two-year JRCERT accredited program (Delray campus offers an Associates degree in Science and the Atlanta campus offers a 2 year cetificate program) students receive highly diversified instruction in radiation physics, radiation biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology and radiographic procedures through a hybrid offering of on campus and online courses. Clinical course work includes assignments in general diagnostic procedures, computerized tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and other specialized imaging fields. Academic studies directly relate to the field of radiography. |
School of Radiation Therapy The Institute of Allied Medical Professions Radiation Therapy Program prepares students for the clinical, theoretical, technical and psychological aspects of a career in Radiation Therapy. This is a 24 month JRCERT accredited program open to students with no prior medical experience. The curriculum includes classroom instruction including oncology studies, math, sciences and general education studies. Clinical externships at community hospitals and outpatient radiation centers occur throughout the program. |

School of Nuclear Medicine Technology This program provides students with a comprehensive body of knowledge and skills and the opportunity for some of the finest clinical experiences. This program is designed to provide the essentials of Nuclear Medicine techniques. Our curriculum offers detailed experience in nuclear medicine techniques while exposing the student to newer imaging modalities such as SPECT scanning as well as full range of In-Vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures. |
School of Nursing The practical nursing program offers students basic to advanced studies in nursing theory and clinical practice. The curriculum will prepare the student to function as a critical thinker throughout the nursing process and within the scope of practice. The instructional plan is designed to progress the student in nursing knowledge and skills in fundamentals, pharmacology, nutrition, medical surgical nursing, mental health, gerontology, maternity and pediatrics. Hands on and observatory clinical experiences will be completed in major medical and nursing facilities. This is a 12 month program offering the graduate a Certificate of Completion and eligibility to apply for the NCLEX examination in a state of their choice. |
