Nursing
School of Nursing
The practical nursing program offers students basic to advanced studies in nursing theory and clinical practice. The curriculum will prepare the student to function as a critical thinker throughout the nursing process and within the scope of practice. The instructional plan is designed to progress the student in nursing knowledge and skills in fundamentals, pharmacology, nutrition, medical surgical nursing, mental health, gerontology, maternity and pediatrics. Hands on and observatory clinical experiences will be completed in major medical and nursing facilities. This is a 12 month program offering the graduate a Certificate of Completion and eligibility to apply for the NCLEX examination in a state of their choice.
