PROGRAM GOALS:
1. The program will prepare students to demonstrate the knowledge base, technical skills and clinical competency required to develop into an entry-level radiation therapist.
2. The program will graduate students who exhibit professional and ethical behaviours, which are recognized by the standards, contained in the professional code of ethics and scope of practice as set by the ASRT.
3. The program will provide employers with radiation therapists who are competent in the affective, cognitive and psychomotor domain. The program will graduate students who appreciate lifelong professional learning.
4. The program will graduate students who appreciate lifelong professional learning.

School of Radiation Therapy

The job prospects for radiation therapists are good, and their employment is expected to grow rapidly through 2016. This growth is due to the high percentage of older people in our population, the increased use of radiologic imaging in medical treatment, and improvements in cancer detection.
